Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

A Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is so much more than a ‘pat on the back’ for completing a programme of activities. It is recognition of a young person’s successful journey of self-discovery and development, valued by employers and universities alike.

Its balanced programme develops the whole person – mind, body and soul, in an environment of social interaction and team working.

We run training programmes and expeditions for all levels, as well as training courses for DofE leaders.

Our staff are fully qualified and experienced in all aspects of Duke of Edinburgh’s Expeditions, and are Accredited Expedition Assessors.

Bronze Award

Training, practice and qualifying ventures in Essex and beyond.

The DofE Bronze award requires candidates to undertake a two day one night expedition. At Essex Outdoors our Danbury centre is perfectly placed to support and run your Bronze Awards whether it is your training, practice or assessment expeditions.
