Our river trips are ideal for groups of up to seven people – at least one of whom must be an adult – including children from ages seven plus. Sailing Experience Days

Set sail on one of our spacious modern sailing boats; perfect for small groups of any ability. Our enthusiastic instructors will show you the ropes, or you can take a seat and enjoy the picture-perfect panoramic estuary views. A sensational experience for all.

Powerboat Experience Days

Enjoy a full-throttle adventure, and experience the power of our 6.8m Rigid Inflatable Powerboat (RIB). Perfect for those wanting a adrenaline-fueled hands on taster day. Get involved as much as you like under the expert supervision of our instructors. An thrilling day out for all ages.

First select a Sailing or Powerboat experience.

Next choose to depart from the Waterfront at West Mersea or the Marina at Bradwell Waterside next-door to our Outdoor Centre.

Decide whether to cruise into either West Mersea Waterfront or Maldon Quay and enjoy the stunning scenery of the River Blackwater, before you disembark to explore, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, or moor up and devour a picnic.

We can even provide crabbing lines and bait, or you may be able to explore secret beaches in the afternoon, tides permitting.

A friendly, experienced and qualified instructor will be present onboard to skipper throughout the day ensuring you are in safe hands at all times. We put your safety first and kit you up with waterproofs (if required) and a lifejacket as part of the experience.
