A flexible five-day, holiday kids camp with residential options (at our purpose-built centre) and non-residential spaces available, the Essex Outdoors Youth Sailing Week is perfect for your water and adventure-loving children, no matter where you live.
Suitable for total beginners to more experienced sailors aged 10 to 16-years-old, your children will gain a boat load of experience, while spending the week making new friends and incredible new memories to last a lifetime. Learn to Sail Summer Camps in Essex
Our Essex based Youth Sailing Week is the perfect way for adventure-loving children and young people to try sailing or improve their skills, by working through the RYA Youth Stages scheme.
Whether your children are competent sailors and would like to develop their skills or they have never sailed before, our knowledgeable and enthusiastic RYA instructors will work with them in small groups to ensure they get the most out of their time on the water.
They could be honing their helming, strengthening their seamanship or consolidating their crewing, working towards RYA Youth Stage 1 to 4 and everything in-between.
Residential or Day-based options
Choose from residential or day-based options at our Essex Outdoors summer sailing children’s camp.
A warm welcome awaits at our purpose-built residential centre where your children will receive all their meals and drinks as part of your booking. Everything from hearty full English breakfasts and Continental options to start the day, to evening BBQs on the beautiful waterfront.
After a busy day out on the water, we’ll wind down with an exciting range of land-based activities during the evening.
The non-residential package allows you the flexibility to come and go at the start and end of each day, after a full morning and afternoon of sailing. Evening land-based activities and meals are not included in this option.
For both packages, you’ll have access to our fleet of boats and all necessary safety equipment will be provided – please refer our suggested kit list for items to bring with you.
RYA certification for any successfully completed Youth Stages will be sent through after the week.
